Backyard BBQ Series

The partnership of Mozingo Lake BBQ are pleased to sponsor this year's BBQ contest. The event will be held September 4-6 at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park in Maryville, Missouri. Join us for a family-friendly weekend of games, inflatables, music and food. Don’t miss our live entertainment on the main stage throughout the event.

The Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest has been sanctioned as an official Kansas City Barbecue Society event. Learn more about the KCBS by clicking here. The 2020 KCBS Rules apply (listed on the registration page of each series).

The 2020 Backyard BBQ Series event will feature a purse of $650.00 and includes 2 KCBS categories (chicken and ribs). Registration for the event is $50.00 per team. *Backyard Series contestants may not have won a Grand Champion title or have competed in more than 12 sanctioned contests. Contestants are responsible for knowing prior to registration.

Registration includes a 20x30 foot site to cook with close proximity to water and restrooms (No electricity available). Also included are 4 weekend passes for cook team. Please contact us if you need more than that.

Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest, KCBS, including its officers, sponsors and/or associates and the contestants, including parents, and/or legal representatives, agree that the Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest, KCBS, will in no case be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury regardless of how much loss, damage, or injury is occasioned, and indemnify and save harmless The Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest, KCBS from any and all claims, suits, and/or judgments including the cost for defense of and such claim and/or suit by the Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest, KCBS brought by anyone as a result of any loss, damage, or injury to any person or property, occasioned by any action or inaction of contestant, either solely or in conjunction with the Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest or KCBS. Further, I hereby grant full permission to the Mozingo Lake BBQ Contest, KCBS and/or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of the event for any legitimate purpose.
